  1. I first want to thank you for your thoughts on my wedding issue.  Sometimes it is difficult navigating through family church and love.  I will let you know what happens.

We actually went and saw Cher last year in Vegas.  It was the first time I had been to Las Vegas in years.  About the only experience I had was when I used to guide whitewater rafting trips down the Grand Canyon.  We would meet up in Vegas and then head to Lee's Ferry for the launch.  So I was quite surprised how much Vegas has changed.  The gambling has become less important and the entertainment is now what it is all about.

We went to see Cher because, well, I had never seen her in concert and she isn't getting any younger.  The concert was more than amazing and she is still over the top experience.  We wanted to see her in Vegas because the venue is so small compared to the normal stadium or area type venues.  I am done with those.  Just not that intimate.  The Park Theater is really a perfect size.  Not a bad seat in the place.  So we decided to keep an eye on who else is performing there.  When Lady Gaga showed up, we were on it.

Our tickets are for the 18th and 19th of January.  On the 18th, she is doing a very low key just her and a piano singing her favorite songs.  I was in Venice a couple of years back.  Elton John was doing a makeup concert in the main St Marco's Square.  We didn't have tickets, so we made reservations at one of the restaurants.  What a magical night.  Just Elton John with a piano at one end of the square and us about halfway back having dinner and enjoying the concert.  It was very intimate and a different way of seeing these big performers without all the hoopla.  I am hoping for the same kind of intimate experience with Lady Gaga.

The next night she is doing her Eginma concert with all the bells and whistles of a major rock star performance.  Should be interesting..  I will let you know how things go.

Just one more thing.  If you do make it to Vegas, be sure to see the Circus Sol Le show LOVE.  You will love it and you should be able to get discount tickets at one of the outlets on the strip that sells last minute tickets.

This is so weird, I'm seeing this only in my profile where it shows posts I've made. I didn't see it on my PM link. Yes, I can't wait to hear all about it when you can.

I watched the Kennedy Center's awards and Cher was honored with one. She sure has aged well, how would it be!

I looked up that Circus Sol Le show, it looks like one not to miss.

About Elton, how lucky were you!! Several years ago I surprised my husband with tickets to Elton and Billy Joel at the Vivint Arena. So not intimate, but I bought some pretty good seats, and it was amazing!
