I think it is because you and Danzo are looking at individual trees and Ben is talking about orchards. When you plant an orchard in bad soil the results are worse than when you have good soil. Sure, some trees are going to thrive even in the bad soil but overall, it makes a huge difference. But, hey, what do I know? I can't understand nuance, I have kneejerk reactions and have no background in women's issues.

Exactly. And more disturbing is the fact her post had 6 up votes so far. Evidence of how far we still have to go even within the church . On Edit. I wonder how many of those upvoting would also be comfortable with a 14 year old boy marrying?

Well, her question seemed designed to justify obedience based on faith, so I suppose it is. Two edge sword and all that.

I get what he means. Tithing is what the prophet says it is. If they decided that a full tithe was 5% then that is what it would be.

Why is it that nobody ever considers the possibility that they are not very good at spotting liars? You have been deceived. The longer you ignore that fact the harder it will be to admit to yourself. Once you figure it out, you may want to consider where/who else has misled you.

To paraphrase a quote attributed to Twain, it's easier to create heroes than it is to dethrone them. Just look at those trying to still defend TB here on this board, despite the overwhelming evidence. Makes you wonder which of our historical heroes were not who we thought they were.

You are not out of it and I agree it was not sent to them. My bad. Thanks for the correction. I am still disturbed that Beck has those kind of connections and influence and can have this type of conversations with those people. Beck is a nut job.
