Popular Post USU78
My oldest girl just had one of the most miserable pregnancies on record. Hyperemesis nearly killed her during the first trimester, and she was in getting IVs twice a week for three months. She lost over 30 lbs because she really couldn't keep anything at all down. Her ward ladies decided to organize a fast for her, which the family joined in. Her hyperemesis ended the same day it started. She couldn't make it to Church next day, but she saw what a big blessing she received. In her third trimester, she developed gestational diabetes. They installed one of those monitors on her upper arm and she was self-injecting after the less invasive treatments failed to drop her blood sugar levels. The insulin worked, and the baby just passed her 7 week "birthday." Yesterday, my daughter went to the pharmacy to see if they would take back the ca. $500 in insulin she now couldn't use (after her MD cleared her from the diabetes). They couldn't due to regulations, but suggested she might donate the meds to somebody else. The thought came to her head that she go see the clerk at the Maverick she usually gets her diet cokes at and with whom she had discussed diabetes. The clerk, you see, knew exactly what the monitor was for. Here are her words: Quote We drove over there and I asked her if she could use it. She said she had been praying to find a way to afford her insulin for June because she had some other expenses come up, and that I was an answer to her prayers. Isn't that amazing? I'm so glad I listened to that feeling to go there. Anybody else have such an experience recently or significantly? 6 Link to comment
