Buzzard
Of course, he was not referring to losses by the U of U. For Utes, there is no forgiveness in this life, nor in the life to come. Link to comment

Kenngo1969
Keith is a Gaelic word meaning 'wood or forest' J.Smith went to the 'woods' and received his vision. Kindle obviously made the connection. Kenneth is the Celtic word for "Handsome." I am, don't you think? P.S.: In this month's Ensign, there is a story about a little boy who prayed, "Dear Heavenly Father, we thank Thee for this beautiful little boy that I am!" Link to comment

Garden Girl
But that's like playing a freshman high school team. Of course BYU would win. Well, not quite that bad, but yes, it was expected to be an easy win... The next game against Texas will test the Cougs... Friday night... GG Link to comment
Garden Girl
Cougs Won!!BYU stopped the Longhorns... demoralized them... 41 - 7... even if they didn't have their regular quarterback (Ash), and a couple of other key players, this year we didn't have Kyle Van Noy, Spenser Hadley, or Cody Hoffman, etc., and during this game Kafusci was out early on with an ankle injury. And some of the errors made by Texas were deemed the part of the defense, not Swoopes the backup quarterback, so he wasn't the problem in many instances, and the commentators seemed to agree that he did a good job.Anyway, Woo Hoo... Cougars! Cougars! Cougars! GG Edited September 9, 2014 by Garden Girl Link to comment
Garden Girl
BYU Cougars win again!!! This time we beat Houston... 33 to 25...I noticed lots of people wearing Cougar blue tee shirts with "Houston You've Got A Problem" followed underneath by BYU... Cougars. That makes 3 wins in our three opening games... so we stand at 3 - 0 for the first time in several years. Next we play on 9/20... Virginia... televised on ESPN networks at 1:30 my time... Tacenda
Driving down from Utah State after a fun day with my son and his wife who go to school there. Why don't they have the teams BYU and the Utes have, is it poor recruitment? Hopefully that's not a dumb question. Link to comment

Why don't they have the teams BYU and the Utes have, is it poor recruitment? Hopefully that's not a dumb question. I don't know... depends a lot on the general perspective of the campus leaders/faculty toward sports, funding for programs, etc. A lot of state universities have excellent programs... Garden Girl
Thursday the Lady Cougars won their soccer game 2 - 0 against #23 Cal State Long Beach. This year's team is just getting experience together... they had lost their last three games, so this was a welcome win. Will put some confidence in the team. We were so used to last year's team and their record. But I see improvement each game. So go Women's Soccer!! Go Cougs! GG Link to comment
Damien the Leper
The Longhorn game was awful! Texas can do better. I'm going to the Ute vs. Scum Devil game in Tempe in November. Link to comment
Garden Girl
Tonight the BYU lady Cougars absolutely demolished the Utes in their annual rivalry game in Volleyball. The Utes came into this game with an unblemished record of 10 - 0, so BYU handed them their first loss this season in a sweep of 3 games to 0... Score: Game 1 = 25 to 18... Game 2 = 25 to 16... and Game 3 = 25 to 7... yes 7!! Go ladies!! A clean sweep... GG 1 Link to comment
Garden Girl
Oh boy! What a game! BYU vs Univ of Virginia...All week long I heard the various sports announcers tell how VA's front 7 played like NFL... and it's no question they did great, even beating in the statistics... but... BYU played with heart and would match them every score until BYU finally prevailed and won the game 41 - 33... so BYU is 4 - 0. Go Cougars!! Link to comment
Calm
Apparently the build up to it was big because my dad told me he couldn't watch it until he knew the ending, the suspense would kill him. I thought all my anxiety issues came from Mom, apparently it was both sides. 1 Link to comment
