I just finished watching The Lamb of God. I love the imagery of the Apostles running to the empty tomb, peering inside and seeing the grave clothes ... not crumpled up and thrown aside as though they were dirty laundry, but neatly folded, as though the Savior said, "OK, it's time to get up now." ;) That scene gets to me every time. It inspired the post linked below. (If you'd care to comment, please do so here; I'm more apt to see it than if you comment on the blog itself). I'm not one to complain about my lot; I've had it good. But the prospect of the Resurrection is one of my favorite principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Even though I must "work in the garden" for now, I do look forward to the day!

Yea, I hope everyone had a great Easter

Thank you all. (This thing disappeared and slipped my mind before I thought to reply. Better late than never! :D)

Did anyone have a Sacrament meeting centered on Easter, totally on Easter? No fast Sunday, no missionary farewell, no stake conference? My ward had two missionary farewells. It turned out fine, but I was a little miffed at first. Also, in Senior Primary, correlation forgot about a lesson for Easter, the whole Primary manual and not one on Easter? The Junior Primary had one but not the Senior Primary. Luckily the teacher I work with gave a wonderful Easter lesson, and didn't use the lesson on missionary work that was provided for this past week, I think the kids needed to hear it. The Primary Presidency even emailed the teachers to let them know that if anyone would like, they would provide an Easter Lesson.

Sounds like a great topic ... for another thread. ;) (Although I guess I shouldn't complain. This one's dead anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter if it goes in a different direction.)

P.S.: And in answer to your query, you'll note that (while I have no complaints about what my ward did or did not do for Easter) the opening post is about something I did on my own to ensure that the day was properly commemorated. The Lamb of God is available on Youtube, and whatever else does (or does not) happen on Easter, you're always welcome to watch it and to record your reflections (whether you share them publicly or not). :)

Thanks Kenngo1969, sorry if I went off topic. I'll watch right now.

Happy Easter, everyone! :)

I suppose I am belated on a happy Easter Ken.

Though I can't imagine there is a day on the calendar, after the ressurection that is not worthy of being happy about.

Thank you very much, Mudcat, and please give my best to Mrs. Mudcat and to all of the little mudkittens! :)
