This is a new and fascinating blog on Mormonism. The blog posts thus far have been interesting and educational. The fact that not all contributors are LDS adds to the excitement and intellectual inquiry. Some of the locals of this board are contributors:

Joseph Trevor Antley
David Bokovoy
Seth Payne
Chris Smith
Don Bradley
Mike Reed

If you're not familiar with it...check it out.

10 a. Collectively and individually, you are loved with an everlasting love that delights in each faithful step taken. God yearns to draw you close so that wounds may be healed, emptiness filled, and hope strengthened.
b. Do not turn away in pride, fear, or guilt from the One who seeks only the best for you and your loved ones. Come before your Eternal Creator with open minds and hearts and discover the blessings of the gospel anew. Be vulnerable to divine grace. -D&C 163:10

I checked the blog.  The author of "Getting Past the KJV" mentions the NIV is better. Maybe he should have read the
site about the shortcomings of the NIV itself.

Jim

While the NIV does have its problems it is a better translation than the KJV. I would prefer the Society of Biblical Literature edition of the NRSV.
