But now faced with trying to win Democratic votes against an incumbent Democratic president, it may still be perilous for Romney to raise the issue himself.

So lets see... over the past several years Radio hosts have been fired for making racial slanders (or simple racial jokes) yet Anti-Mormonism is tolerated, even applauded?

Anyone have any examples of Anti-Mormon media coverage?

The Article seems to say that but then in the end it twists back the other way.

Im mostly intrested in how the media is treating Mormonism as fair game for ridicule and no one is blowing the wistle and people losing their jobs.  If this was about bad press for the LGBT you bet heads of departments would roll.

While perhaps no one is losing their jobs, there has been a lot of commentary condemning it when it happens so I don't see it as "fair game" or that no one is "blowing the whistle".

Also the NYTimes did an excellent article on the Church in Uganda the other day, so it is printing positive articles as well and no one is blowing the whistle on it being too biased for the Church either.

I recently was suprised by all the positive articles RE: the church in the Salt Lake City Tribune.

I'm never surprised when I see a positive article about the Church.  It is, after all, a pretty cool organization.

I think that Romney should address questions when asked, and consider the audience. His current stance of not answering questions on religion sort of works. But when it comes to ethnic/race issues and Church History he should state the current position of the Church. Or state that he can understand how the ban is viewed by some, and that he does not know why the ban existed.

Obama is not running against the Mormons. He has much bigger fish to fry.
