Posts that defend or perpetuate racism (by color or lineage) or endorse practices and beliefs that are not currently a part of the LDS church will not be permitted on these boards.
While discussion of race and the history of the LDS church is permitted posters will be censured for comments that contradict the official position of the LDS church on Priesthood and race:
“The origins of priesthood availability are not entirely clear. Some explanations with respect to this matter were made in the absence of direct revelation and references to these explanations are sometimes cited in publications. These previous personal statements do not represent Church doctrine.” http://www.mormonnew...cle/race-church and http://www.lds.org/s...t/od/2?lang=eng
As Nemesis warned in an earlier thread the Moderation team is taking a stronger stance against Threads and Posts that are intended to Race Bait. This also includes posts that are considered racially charged to a reasonable reader regardless of the posters intent.
As we fine tune the update to the board guidelines this warning should be considered a part of board rules and guidelines.

This is a Mormon dialogue and discussion board, not a misrepresent, demonize and debate board. Please learn the difference before posting.

I am going to insert some more comments. We have had posts appearing that we find disturbing, such as support for Bro. Bott's words. We obviously allow comments that defy Mormon church leaders all day long. But this boardwill not be used to promote what a man on the street could reasonably judge as racism. Those that want to argue or refer to this as "PC" to continue the debate (and race bait) may find themselves escorted off the board as well. We understand that this is difficult to measure but the mods are going to do it and will have the last word. Walking on eggshells might not be a bad idea.
