  1. “Woman is God’s supreme creation. Only after the earth had been formed, after the day had been separated from the night, after the waters had been divided from the land, after vegetation and animal life had been created, and after man had been placed on the earth, was woman created; and only then was the work pronounced complete and good. “Of all the creations of the Almighty, there is none more beautiful, none more inspiring than a lovely daughter of God who walks in virtue with an understanding of why she should do so, who honors and respects her body as a thing sacred and divine, who cultivates her mind and constantly enlarges the horizon of her understanding, who nurtures her spirit with everlasting truth.”1 Then President Hinckley warns us, “God will hold us accountable if we neglect His daughters.”2
  2. Well this isn't the talk my bishop was quoting but it is a perfect example. Elder Christofferson The Moral Force of Women From age immemorial, societies have relied on the moral force of women. While certainly not the only positive influence at work in society, the moral foundation provided by women has proved uniquely beneficial to the common good. Perhaps, because it is pervasive, this contribution of women is often underappreciated. I wish to express gratitude for the influence of good women, identify some of the philosophies and trends that threaten women’s strength and standing, and voice a plea to women to cultivate the innate moral power within them. Women bring with them into the world a certain virtue, a divine gift that makes them adept at instilling such qualities as faith, courage, empathy, and refinement in relationships and in cultures. Sisters, I don’t want to overpraise you as we sometimes do in Mother’s Day talks that make you cringe. You don’t have to be perfect;7 I don’t claim that you are (with one possible exception who is sitting nearby at the moment)
  3. I am just quoting another conference talk where the men are demeaned and the women can do no wrong.
  4. Today at church we were taught that men are insensitive and women are perfect.
  5. The Stake Presidency was pushing Friends of Scouting today for 5 minutes after Sacrament meeting. Once again they told us we are not following prophet if we don't donate.

    Shrinking pains

A sister got up after times was up and talked about her car not starting for 10 minutes. Then another sister got up and started recounting a Book of Mormon story. We finished 20 minutes late.
  7. They gave us the donation pamplet as we walked into sacrament meeting. Then they put the leaders at the door to collect the donation pamplet after the meeting was over. The stake presidency counselor told us all the funds stay in the council(which is a lie). They then read off the First Presidency announcement about Scouting until 2020. He then told us we are not following the prophet if we don't donate. They did the same thing last year. It really ruins the mood after Sacrament meeting.
  8. Church is still 3 hours. Come follow me is the third hour.
  9. Homosexuality is widely accepted now but these teens are still 4x as likely to attempt suicide. What would you call it then?
  10. The LBTGQ lifestyle is very unstable. Now put two unstable individuals together and there will be problems. No reason to blame churches.

    LDS Tools app issue

The app stopped working on my old iphone. I got a new phone and then it worked.
  12. From the Saints book After the Lord spoke to him in the dark, miserable dungeon, Joseph no longer feared that God had forsaken him and the church. In letters to Edward Partridge and the Saints, he testified boldly of the latter-day work. “Hell may pour forth its rage like the burning lava of Mount Vesuvius,” he declared, “yet shall Mormonism stand.” He was sure of this. “Truth is Mormonism,” he exclaimed. “God is the author of it. He is our shield. It is by Him we received our birth. It was by His voice that we were called to a dispensation of His gospel in the beginning of the fullness of times.”

Church employees are audited to make sure they pay their tithing.
  14. I just love the cold hot dogs at the ward barbecue. I also got a slice of pumpkin pie at the barbecue. Upon trying to eat it, I discovered it was still frozen since it had never been cooked. It is best to eat before you go to a church dinner just in case.

They don't tell you how to pay it. They are just hoping that you pay more.
  16. The evidence is everywhere. Gay marriage is the law of the land. More than half the members support the LGBTQ agenda. Do you live under a rock?
  17. They are trying to get the youth excited about the priesthood and temple work before they get caught in the LGBTQ propaganda. The problem is an 11 year old isn't ready for the priesthood.
  18. The retention rate of Young Single Adults is 25%. They are trying to speed up the process so the kids go the temple and get married sooner.
  19. There are at least 7000 senior missionaries included in the number of 67000 so that would mean 40,000 elders. So yes it has grown since 2011 slightly but much less than the early 2000's. my mistake. I still think the amount of women serving is higher than the 20,000 quoted.
  20. Instead of improving youth programs and allocating real money to the youth programs, they have tried to advance everyone early in hopes that the youth stay in the church. I am saddened that so many youth are falling away. We spend so much money on real estate but only give the youth a $2000 yearly budget.
  21. As of June 2018 Today, there are about 67,000 full-time missionaries serving worldwide in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Of those, about 30 percent — more than 20,000 — are sisters, a figure that has increased 17 percent since the age-change announcement in 2012, said Elder Brent H. Nielson, a General Authority Seventy and the Missionary Department's executive director.
  22. The amount of women going on missions has increased dramatically. The amount of young men has dropped.
  23. Why not make them Priests when they turn 12 since the kids are developing so much quicker these days? When I teach the youth Sunday School classes, the kids are clueless on the scripture stories and gospel principles.
  24. The same desperation that brought us 18 year old missionaries. We now have less young men go on missions than before the age change. The 18 year old missionaries are returning early in greater numbers. Before you attack me again, please know I am an active member in the church. It is okay to have free thoughts and not be a parrot.
  25. Wow! Childish attacks from Nehor.
