  1. LGBTQ is a mental disorder. Anyone who encourages mental disorders to continue is insane.
  2. covering our pictures in our church building.
  3. How do you teach people about the Savior in a mosque?
  4. there is no program. the youth leaders have to come up with all the ideas and hope for the best. The same youth leaders have to fund the program from their pockets because the church is saving money for a rainy day.
  5. I appreciate our President supporting prayer and religion. When the liberals win next time, religious liberty will be destroyed.
  6. use the money saved on janitors and buy some background checks
  7. Being in the Bishopric leads to major burnout. In my ward, the Bishopric are always going on vacations to avoid some of the meetings.
  8. I am also concerned with the church hoarding money. They should use the money to advertise so people can learn about the church. We shouldn't be buying more real estate or stocks.
  9. My kids already complain about Sunday School being the same as family study. I barely get them to go to seminary so this may be the final straw.
  10. Transparency and accountability. I can only imagine!
  11. Most of our Mormon culture is based on traditions of men. I do applaud President Nelson for cleaning up these traditions.
  12. “Woman is God’s supreme creation. Only after the earth had been formed, after the day had been separated from the night, after the waters had been divided from the land, after vegetation and animal life had been created, and after man had been placed on the earth, was woman created; and only then was the work pronounced complete and good. “Of all the creations of the Almighty, there is none more beautiful, none more inspiring than a lovely daughter of God who walks in virtue with an understanding of why she should do so, who honors and respects her body as a thing sacred and divine, who cultivates her mind and constantly enlarges the horizon of her understanding, who nurtures her spirit with everlasting truth.”1 Then President Hinckley warns us, “God will hold us accountable if we neglect His daughters.”2
  13. Well this isn't the talk my bishop was quoting but it is a perfect example. Elder Christofferson The Moral Force of Women From age immemorial, societies have relied on the moral force of women. While certainly not the only positive influence at work in society, the moral foundation provided by women has proved uniquely beneficial to the common good. Perhaps, because it is pervasive, this contribution of women is often underappreciated. I wish to express gratitude for the influence of good women, identify some of the philosophies and trends that threaten women’s strength and standing, and voice a plea to women to cultivate the innate moral power within them. Women bring with them into the world a certain virtue, a divine gift that makes them adept at instilling such qualities as faith, courage, empathy, and refinement in relationships and in cultures. Sisters, I don’t want to overpraise you as we sometimes do in Mother’s Day talks that make you cringe. You don’t have to be perfect;7 I don’t claim that you are (with one possible exception who is sitting nearby at the moment)
  14. I am just quoting another conference talk where the men are demeaned and the women can do no wrong.
  15. Today at church we were taught that men are insensitive and women are perfect.
  16. A sister got up after times was up and talked about her car not starting for 10 minutes. Then another sister got up and started recounting a Book of Mormon story. We finished 20 minutes late.
  17. They gave us the donation pamplet as we walked into sacrament meeting. Then they put the leaders at the door to collect the donation pamplet after the meeting was over. The stake presidency counselor told us all the funds stay in the council(which is a lie). They then read off the First Presidency announcement about Scouting until 2020. He then told us we are not following the prophet if we don't donate. They did the same thing last year. It really ruins the mood after Sacrament meeting.
  18. The Stake Presidency was pushing Friends of Scouting today for 5 minutes after Sacrament meeting. Once again they told us we are not following prophet if we don't donate.
  19. Homosexuality is widely accepted now but these teens are still 4x as likely to attempt suicide. What would you call it then?
  20. The LBTGQ lifestyle is very unstable. Now put two unstable individuals together and there will be problems. No reason to blame churches.
  21. The app stopped working on my old iphone. I got a new phone and then it worked.
  22. From the Saints book After the Lord spoke to him in the dark, miserable dungeon, Joseph no longer feared that God had forsaken him and the church. In letters to Edward Partridge and the Saints, he testified boldly of the latter-day work. “Hell may pour forth its rage like the burning lava of Mount Vesuvius,” he declared, “yet shall Mormonism stand.” He was sure of this. “Truth is Mormonism,” he exclaimed. “God is the author of it. He is our shield. It is by Him we received our birth. It was by His voice that we were called to a dispensation of His gospel in the beginning of the fullness of times.”
