  1. So what's your fashion? I'm envisioning you with pink spiked hair with nose and navel rings attending church in sandals, cutoff blue jeans, bare chested showing off a chest tattoo of guns and roses, and whining about your Bishop because he won't allow you to pass the sacrament. LOL!
  2. Do you also disagree with Hawaiian culture because BYU-Hawaii has the same honor code? http://honorcode.byuh.edu/content/dressing-grooming 🙄

Charles Darwin's cousin, Sir Francis Galton. Creator of the "science" of eugenics. http://galton.org/letters/africa-for-chinese/AfricaForTheChinese.htm "My proposal is to make the encouragement of the Chinese settlements at one or more suitable places on the East Coast of Africa a par of our national policy, in the belief that the Chinese immigrants would not only maintain their position, but that they would multiply and their descendants supplant the inferior Negro race. I should expect the large part of the African seaboard, now sparsely occupied by lazy, palavering savages living under the nominal sovereignty of the Zanzibar, or Portugal, might in a few years be tenanted by industrious, order loving Chinese, living either as a semi-detached dependency of China, or else in perfect freedom under their own law." I'll say it again! You're all too stupid not to believe the Prophets and Apostles. Instead you embrace the Theory of Evolution and now you're labelled as a racist! A human breeder! Planned Parenthood is based on this philosophy. Your survival of the fittest demeans the children of God! And its source is Charles Darwin inspired by the evil one. The theory of evolution and it's debasing consequences has been hashed out before any of us were born, yet you still embrace this filth too stupid not to know what occurred in history because of it.

Why? Because you believe in the theory of Evolution? Are you all you too stupid not to know that Charles Darwin's man-made theory has been used as an excuse to murder wholesale entire groups of people? Jews, Gypsies, the infirm and weak, because - after all - it's the survival of the fittest that will survive! The strong rule! The Master race! - this what Evolution teaches: No need for Charity! No need for Mercy from a benevolent Creator! You infirm creatures with your genetic defects need to be eliminated! Are you all so lacking in your daily reading and pondering of the Book of Mormon you can't see this same evil was taught by Korihor? 17 And many more such things did he say unto them, telling them that there could be no atonement made for the sins of men, but every man fared in this life according to the management of the creature; therefore every man prospered according to his genius, and that every man conquered according to his strength; and whatsoever a man did was no crime. 18 And thus he did preach unto them, leading away the hearts of many, causing them to lift up their heads in their wickedness, yea, leading away many women, and also men, to commit whoredoms—telling them that when a man was dead, that was the end thereof.

Why are human genes in animals? Why does Piltdown man have a human skull and a mandible from an orangutan and chimpanzee fossil teeth? Why does a dog eat human food? While humans eat hot dogs? Why do Mormons here know that their religion is built on a foundation of Apotles and Prophets, but don't believe them? Is it because you're a lower life form dwelling in a lower sphere of intelligence? Or you're too cheap to surrender $10.00 for a yearly subscription to the Ensign magazine or too stupid to know how to access it on line? Yes, The Theory of Evolution can answer many questions. LOL! https://www.lds.org/ensign/2002/02/the-origin-of-man?lang=eng
  6. Obedience to an honor code that BYU students sign a pledge to obey. You never heard of it? You nor any member of a Bishopric don't have to attend BYU. But if you do, you have to comport yourself to its Honor Code. https://policy.byu.edu/view/index.php?p=26

    Nephi and Laban

Benjamin's .pdf link works. iPad 4, iOS 10, Safari browser. I think it's far-fetched to claim Nephi wrote this event in his record, in his smaller plates that deal more with spiritual matters (than in his larger plates which dealt more with secular matters-as described in the Book of Mormon) - to produce a narrative "that explains the dynastic shift justifying Nephi's right to be made king." Yeah right. Must have been a slow day and over-creativity was used when the publication deadline arrived. Especially, when the article correctly states Nephi had no desire to be made King. Thus the article contradicts itself and the Book of Mormon. The Angel of the Lord stated Nephi would be made a ruler over his brethren, not a King. (Being made a King is what his people later wanted because he had been thier spiritual ruler, their Prophet. Nephi didn't have to justify that.) As well as the Angel stating the Lord would deliver Laban into their hands- the Angel was addressing Laman and Lemuel rebuking them for their lack of faith then stating the Lord would help them fulfill the command He gave to them. This was a spiritual account: An Angel, reaffirming their father Lehi's command from the Lord, that they should return to get the plates. And Nephi, with no guile justifying his being made "King", was merely recording this event for his people. But give a simple Book of Mormon event to a scholar and one is lead down a rabbit hole.

    Nephi and Laban

It was to put the fear into his brothers. Nephi shows up in Laban's clothing and armor, including the sword of Laban. His brothers recognizing the 'outfit' run for their lives. Nephi calls out, it's me! He explains what happened. His three brothers are dumbfounded. You did what? Zoram confirms it for them as a second witness, if you will. Laman earlier who's complaining about the message from the Angel "the Lord will deliver Laban into your hands" "how can He, when Laban can command fifty?" is having second thoughts about messing with his younger brother who he had just beat with a rod. "Holy cow! Nephi killed Laban!" Then of course, the symbolism of the sword of Laban, which Nephi later uses as a template when making swords for his people for their defense after arriving in the land of promise. The same sword seen by Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery in the Hill Cumorah (in New York, sillies) being unsheathed on the table with the inscription "This sword will never be sheathed again until The Kingdoms of this world become the Kingdom of our God and his Christ." Indicating it was a long sword or it was written with small font. I prefer the former. Thus the sword of Laban, Laban's own sword used to lop off his own head, represents the Justice of God against all who fight against the Lord and his kingdom. That is, if you do so, you'll only destroy yourself.

God probably won't allow us to find Nahom

Oh most certainly. Because Lehi brought embalming fluid with him to inject into his friend's corpse for it to be preserved in the heat of Arabia so Ishmael's body wouldn't stink while they decided to carry it to Nahom, because Nahom has grave sites and the Sons of Lehi and Ishmael who later built a ship couldn't dig a simple grave immediately after the death of their father and father-in-law because they were so disrespectful to Jewish customs of burying the dead within 24 hrs. "Let us carry the body of your deceased father," stated Nephi to his wife, " through the Wilderness to Nahom, because there we knowest from this travel book of Arabia given to us by Bishop Bernheisel of New York that Nahom is just coincidentally over there beyond the next three wadis and low-lying hills." "And the daughters of Ishmael mourned in the way because their Father's body stank in the way as it was transported through the heat of the desert. And Ishmael's children sang as they walked and walked and walked. And walked!" This of course is why later in approx 80 B.C. the wife of Lamoni lamented to Ammon whether her husband she be buried after only two days had passed. Ammon of course had forgotten to bring some embalming fluid with him from the Land of Zarahemla like all good missionaries should. Seriously, Glenn, do you or Dr. Smith ever use common sense? Have you ever googled "Ancient Jewish practice of burying the dead"? Does the Book of Mormon itself have any clues how the descendants of Lehi and Ishmael treated their dead? Are you able to read the verses after 1Nephi 16:34 and ascertain that after Ishmael died and was buried they were still in the wilderness? 5 Therefore, if this is the case, I would that ye should go in and see my husband, for he has been laid upon his bed for the space of two days and two nights; and some say that he is not dead, but others say that he is dead and that he stinketh, and that he ought to be placed in the sepulchre; but as for myself, to me he doth not stink.

I'm an Eagle Scout, Dr. Smith. I received it in the 70s when Scouts were Scouts, not some organization that now has a gender-ID problem. I'd bet I've hiked more wilderness areas than you So. Cal. Beach boys ever have. 😉 Your version of the Boondocks was likely getting lost on the way to the Beach Party then running home crying to Mama when you got sunburnt or when your pinkie toe was pinched by a crab when wearing Birkenstocks with your 60s hippie hair. 😄 But you know I jest. You don't have hair. But you were the one claiming earlier in a response to another that a simple reference to the text is necessary. Now you claim Lehi's group encountered the locals. Yeah right. Dr. Smith, Revisionist Historian for the Book of Mormon. "Lehi encountered the locals." Yet the text never states such but the opposite, parenthetically by Mormon. You should stop ignoring Mormon's footnotes. 20 I am Mormon, and a pure adescendant of Lehi. I have reason to bless my God and my Savior Jesus Christ, that he brought our fathers out of the land of Jerusalem, (and bno one knew it save it were himself and those whom he brought out of that land) and that he hath given me and my people so much knowledge unto the salvation of our souls.
