What’s with the quote marks around the word gay?

The reason that it seems unusual is that it was caught on tape and widely shared. Finding a dozen more pastors that also think this way is setting the bar extremely low. Catching them on tape is the challenge.

I previously worked at a Catholic university, where I was part of the support team that responded to sexual assault on campus. One of the priests,who lived in the dorms, also took the training. He was genuinely baffled by the reality that most assaults are committed by an acquaintance or family member. He didn’t think that was possible. He’s teaching at a university, living on campus, and didn’t understand that date rape is a reality.

I think it’s the difference between most posters responding out of emotion, and just firing off a post, and a logical, measured response. With a little bit of lawyer thrown in.

Nehor never demeans women. I can’t say the same for you,however. Why are you so afraid of transgender women? Is it some sort of self-loathing that you’re in denial about? I’m sure all of us know people who have moved to America from other countries. I’m also sure none of us know anyone who moved here because “American dads don’t shower with their teenage daughters”. He didn’t claim that you were making a case that transgender people don’t exist, he said you were trying to make a case that transgender people SHOULDN’T exist. Don’t change people’s words.
